About Tame the Tigers
As New England’s most unique charity golf tournament, Tame the Tigers has raised over $675,000 for The Jimmy Fund’s pediatric patient activities since its founding in 2008.
By utilizing North America’s longest course - the “Tiger Tees” on the Pines Course at The International - and by featuring a Pro-Am format, Tame The Tigers is truly unique among charity tournaments. It is a collaboration of three very prominent New England brands united in the fight against cancer:
· WEEI Sports Radio Network & John Dennis: Our partnership with John Dennis of the legendary Dennis & Callahan Morning Show provides media promotion like no other local tournament! Tame The Tigers is one of the most widely publicized golf tournaments in New England. See John Dennis speak on the tournament here.
· The International Golf Club & Resort: Golfers normally tackle North America’s longest course – the Pines is a whopping 8,325 yards from the Tiger Tees! Due to a harsh winter, the 2014 event was played on the International’s award winning Oaks Course.
· New England Section of the PGA: To make it fun for golfers of all skill levels, the New England PGA provides a Pro-Am format with Club Pros, so each group has a 5th golfer.
